BOSTON — Comics Come Home, the longest-running comedy fundraiser in the nation, today announced that comedian, actor, and radio host, Jim Breuer and Pete Correale, will join the talented line-up of comedians who will perform at Boston’s TD Garden, November 3. All proceeds from Comics Come Home benefit The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, which has raised almost $8 million to provide to cancer patients and families. This year Bostonians find themselves hosting the 20th anniversary of Comics Come Home – a comedy benefit started by Dennis Leary that raises money for The Cam Neely Foundation For Cancer Care and The Neely Cancer Fund. Over the last 19 years the benefit has boasted a plethora of top-notch comedic acts, but this year it seems they are pulling out all the stops.
As announced today , Denis Leary has once again assembled a veritable Avengers-level lineup for this year’s hoedown, which is set to return to TD Garden on Saturday, November 13. On November 7, Denis Leary and former Bruins star Cam Neely will bring a stacked lineup of comedians to the city for a one-night show of back-to-back stand-up acts. This year, talents include Louis CK, Lenny Clarke, Chris Distefano, Jimmy Fallon, Christine Hurley, Ray Romano, and Steven Wright. Leary co-founded the fundraiser with his great friend, Boston Bruins legend and current team president Cam Neely. Breuer and Correale will join this year’s 24th annual Comics Come Home lineup of fan favorites and new faces like; Lenny Clarke, Billy Gardell, Christine Hurley, Robert Kelly, Jessica Kirson, and Brian Regan.

Tickets for Comics Come Home, which is scheduled for Nov. 12, can be found here. The show's lineup includes Jimmy Fallon, John Mulaney, Chris Distefano, Roy Wood Jr. and Sam Jay, as well as local comedians Lenny Clarke, Robert Kelly and Carolyn Plummer. Leary is an award-winning comedian and Emmy-nominated actor who grew up in Worcester's Main South neighborhood. He is also a proud Boston sports fan and said he loves it when people in New York and Los Angeles start arguing with him about sports.
All proceeds from the annual show benefit The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care which provides comfort, support and hope to adult and pediatric cancer patients and their families. 100 percent of the event proceeds go directly to The Cam Neely Foundation’s latest venture, The Neely Integrative Center. Announced during CCH25, this innovative state of the art center in Boston will advance the research, education and science based integrative care and nutrition access for cancer and autoimmune. It will be the first of its kind in the United States and is led in partnership with The Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition and Science Policy.

The funds raised during Comics Come Home are critical in helping the Foundation’s mission to provide comfort, support and hope to adult and pediatric cancer patients and their families. The 2019 Comics Come Home marked its 25th event, and included a guest appearance by Michael J. Fox. For the first time since 2019, Comics Come Home will be held at TD Garden after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the past two shows.
Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than $31 million. Since its inception, funds raised from the festival have been donated to the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. As of 2018 the festival had contributed approximately US$11.5 million to the Cam Neely Foundation. Neely played with the Boston Bruins and later became team president; after his mother died of cancer in 1987 and his father in 1993, he founded the charity in 1995 and that same year asked Leary if he were interested in orchestrating a Boston-based comedy benefit show. The Cam Neely Foundation was launched in 1995 by Cam Neely after the passing of his parents, Marlene and Michael Neely, from cancer. This experience created the inspiration to help others living with cancer.
Neely and Leary remained constants, but the lineup of guest comics kept changing . In 1995 he, along with standup comic Denis Leary, put on the first Comics Come Home event. Part of the benefit’s lineup was announced this morning, and it looks promising. Dennis Leary , Bill Burr, Jimmy Fallion, Jim Gaffigan, Marc Maron, Craig Ferguson and Lenny Clarke are just a handful of comics that will participating in the benefit. There will be more comics announced over the upcoming months leading up to the benefit.
Once Comics Come Home returns for its 26th installment this November, it’ll have been a long two years without the annual fundraiser. And by the beard of Zeus — and Jon Stewart — they’re ready to run it back with some major star power. Denis Leary teases 'huge surprise' for 24th annual Comics Come Home event. The performance by Wanda Sykes in 2016 included jokes about then-president-elect Donald Trump, which were booed by the audience; Sykes ended her performance early. Her set was followed by a performance by Nick DiPaolo, whose performance joked about rape and Hillary Clinton, leading to a confrontation with an audience member. In 2017, John Mayer appeared at the festival, playing guitar as Leary and Jimmy Fallon sang a cover of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way".
